His interest in photography spans over 40 years. Gallery 44 celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2000 as a leading supporter of Canadian contemporary photographic artists. Mark works primarily in black & white, and loves making personalized portraits. Mark (with the help of some of his friends) put the first version of the picturetheweb site together in 1999, and does all the maintenance and design. This latest version of the site was published in January 2007.
